It’s All Good in Sellwood
By Jessiah Goodwin
Whether you are into thrift stores, eating tacos, or sipping a quiet cup of coffee, Sellwood has it all. The best al pastor tacos can be found at Panaderia Cinco de Mayo. This is a favorite spot of ours to grab lunch after filming. I always secretly hope Ellie doesn’t finish her tacos, so I can have her leftovers. Sadly, she loves their tacos as much as I do and finishes them all.
My favorite thrift shop to treasure hunt is close by, The Goodwill Bins. This place is the hub for all the unsold merchandise from Portland Metro area Goodwills. Everything is sold by the pound and it’s definitely an experience. If you’re not into the madness of digging through the bins, you can check out one of the many antique malls in the hood, such as Stars Portland’s Antique Malls.
Post tacos and thrift shopping, you will need a cup of coffee. There are plenty of places to choose from, but my go-to is Either/Or Coffee on SE 13th Ave. It’s simple, quaint, eclectic, and good! It’s all good in Sellwood!
